Apprentice Interviews

Applicant Lists:
Following your interview, you should receive an email with your position on the specific list that you have applied to be on. You will remain on that list for 1 year from your interview date. Interviews are done every two months. If something has changed that may improve your position on the list, you may wish to reapply. Contact the Training Center regarding whether this would benefit you or not. If you do not wish to re-apply understand your ranking may change.
Contact Information Change:
Please remember to notify us if your contact information changes. Make sure that you have a voice mailbox set up and that messages can be left to ensure you do not get skipped if your name comes up next on the list.
Mechanical Helper Positions:
Occasionally we have Mechanical Helper positions available that consist of material delivery, job site clean-up and similar tasks. If you are interested in one of these positions, please contact the Training Center and we will put you on that list also.
If selected to start in the apprenticeship:
The day you start you will be directed to come into the Training Center to fill out all the necessary paperwork before reporting to your employer. During this process we will go online to set up your account in the Iowa Plumbing and Mechanical Systems website and apply for your apprentice license through them. You will be required to pay them for this online at that time with a credit or debit card, they charge $50 for an apprentice license.
